The Signs of Imminence

I am Dr. Patrick Sadler, a leading expert in the elusive disease known colloquially as the Signs of Imminence. (SOI henceforth.) My expertise comes from years spent alongside a community torn apart by SOI. The most well known story of a sufferer of SOI is conjecture and cannot be proven to be true or false. Here is that retelling. I myself cannot personally vouch for the validity or truthfulness of the contents therein. Seeing as the author is unknown, going under an alias, I cannot contact them in order to cross reference our evidence, albeit theirs is seemingly anecdotal.

My wife, Dr. Lacey Sadler, was a therapist with first-hand contact with a sufferer of SOI. It is thought to be the same young man depicted in the story, however, Dr. Lacey Sadler passed away in 2009 due to complications from an unknown and rapidly degenerative contracted illness. Therefore I, unfortunately, cannot confirm this claim. While the names do appear to have been changed for privacy, my wife's name does appear unchanged. I do not know if she was aware of this documentation.
